Officer's sword. Gilt brass handle and guard, pair of mother-of-pearl plates with chips. Pommel decorated with acanthus leaves. Guard shell decorated with a female warrior and a bundle of arms. Straight blade with triangular cross-section. Worn, illegible engraving, followed by the inscription "à Metz" on the beginning of the blade. Gilded ornamental engravings and burnishing on the first quarter of the blade. 19th century. Blade length: 85.5 cm. - Total length: 98.4 cm. Fairly good condition, traces of oxidation, scabbard missing.
