[FRANC MACONNERIE - CORSE] "Hommage de reconnaissance à Monsieur Étienne Versini". Print on paper, framed and under glass. 37.5 x 61 cm. Stains and holes. Created after the Crimean War in 1853 by a Freemason soldier named Versini who was killed in action. His friend Jean-Marie Romanetti inherited the work, but died in his turn. Along with his other possessions, the work was returned to his family at the same time as his remains.
